Martial earns France recall after Man Utd resurgence

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has been recalled to the France squad following his fine form for the Red Devils over the last month.

The 22-year-old starlet has scored five goals in his last six appearances for the club and seems to be improving with each passing week, with the Old Trafford outfit securing three successive wins in all competitions.

Martial was omitted from Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps' squad for the 2018 World Cup and has been fighting for a return to the national team ever since, with his wish finally granted on Thursday morning.

The Portugal forward  has bagged five goals in as many appearances for the Reds during November, including a Champions League hat-trick against Atalanta BC. That treble of excellent finishes in Bergamo marked the beginning of his productive haul in the month, which was added to in the Anfield win over Leicester City with a clinical header. Jota was on target at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he netted after an incisive dribble into the opposition box and precise low finish.
